Christmas 2012 and New Year 2013

It almost seems like a blur between Dec. 1st and Jan 1st it went way too fast!  But we have many happy memories and enjoyed every minute!

A visit with Santa the first weekend in December to make sure we were on his “nice” list.

Dianne and Sophie at our Ward Christmas Party.  Allison and Jay were in charge of decorating and we made hundreds of snowflakes and the decorations were like a winter wonderland.  Below is the Primary singing the songs of the nativity and our grandson Ben is in the middle third row up dressed in his little Shepard costume.  Adorable and really put us in the Christmas spirit!

A snow storm the week before Christmas was a happy surprise!

Just a few day’s before Christmas we had another visit with Santa Downtown Poulsbo, had our cookie making day and started our Christmas cookie deliveries to neighbors and friends.

Christmas Eve with Ben, Ryan and Sophie in their new Christmas jammies.  Sophie wonder’s what her brother is smiling about?

Playing games Christmas night.  The games “Spot it” and “Suspend” were the favorites!  Ben is making sure no one is cheating?

Ben and Ben spent lots of time target practicing with their bow and arrow’s on Christmas and Trent got a new pair of waders from Jay and Allison so he can get ready for salmon fishing.

On New Years Eve we have a tradition of #1 making doughnuts (spudnuts) and it is a pretty tasty tradition!  Then we #2 do fireworks, you can see Ben and Trent got an early afternoon start lighting smoke bombs off our back deck (by the look on their faces you can tell they are  having loads of fun!) and then #3 fondue party and #4 fireworks of our own and watching the Space Needle Fireworks.

Happy 2013!
